Why make art?

You don't have to be talented. You just have to show up.

It slows you down

Drawing forces you to actually look at things. That's rare, and it turns out to be really valuable.

It's genuinely fun

Making something with your hands feels good in a way that scrolling never does.

No experience needed

Every class is built for people who are just starting out. Really — beginners are welcome.

Sovana in her studio

Hi, I'm Sovana

I've been drawing and painting for over fifteen years, and teaching for the last eight. I love helping people find their way into art — especially those who think they can't draw.

My classes are small, friendly, and focused on the joy of making things rather than getting things perfect. We laugh, we make mistakes, and we leave with something we made ourselves.
